Abstract

This research is entitled Analysis of Income Determinants of Traditional Fishermen in Bungus Teluk Kabung District, Padang City. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that affect the income of fishermen. This study uses the dependent variable and the independent variable. The dependent variable in this study is income while the independent variables are capital, labor, length of time at sea and work experience. The data used is primary data which is distributed to 100 respondents who in this case are traditional fishermen who are in Bungus Teluk Kabung District which consists of four villages, namely South Bungus Village, North Teluk Kabung Village, Teluk Kabung Selatan Village and Teluk Kabung Tengah Village. . The data processing used is multiple linear regression with the OLS (Ordinary Least Square) method. The results show that capital, number of workers, length of time at sea and work experience together affect fishermen's income. Partially, work experience does not significantly affect fishermen's income, while capital, number of workers and length of time at sea each significantly affect fishermen's income.
